  1. The UK produces more than 434 million tonnes of waste every year.
  2. On average, each person in the UK, throws away seven times their body weight (about 500kg) in rubbish every year.
  3. It can take up to 50 times more energy to produce a battery than it actually delivers.
  4. Recycling just one plastic bottle can save the same amount of energy needed to power a 60 watt lightbulb for 6 hours.
