- The original Recipe for Yarg cheese was giving to Netherton Farm by Allan and Jenny Gray.
- Yarg is Gray backwards, after it's recipe owners (see point 2)
- The green outer covering is actually nettle leaves, or wild garlic leaves on wild garlic Yarg.
- Using leaves as a cheese preservative has only survived in Cornwall
- The cheese dates back to the 13th Century
- A full wheel of Yarg is often used as the lower tier of a cheese wedding cake (no, I'm not making this up)
